TOURNAMENTS
Throughout the year, IBA Bahamas hosts and participates in tournaments that have become more than just dates on a calendar, they have become experiences that athletes, families, and supporters look forward to season after season. Each tournament carries its own energy, identity, and purpose, while continuing to reflect the academy’s commitment to developing young athletes from grassroots beginnings to greatness.
The year often tips off with the highly anticipated SET IT OFF Tournament in March, where teams return to the court hungry, energized, and ready to compete. It sets the tone for the months ahead, challenging athletes to bring intensity, discipline, and focus from the very first whistle.
As summer approaches, the excitement builds for JAMFEST in June a high-energy showcase of talent, competition, and basketball culture. Known for its atmosphere and competitive spirit, JAMFEST creates opportunities for players to test their growth, gain exposure, and compete against strong talent in an environment filled with passion and energy.
By August, the END OF SUMMER Tournament closes out the summer season with some of the most exciting basketball of the year. After weeks of training, camps, and development, athletes step onto the court with greater confidence, sharper skill sets, and a deeper understanding of the game. For many players, this tournament becomes a defining moment that highlights just how much they have grown throughout the summer.
In October, the academy hosts the impactful PINKTOBER Tournament, where basketball and community unite for a greater cause. Beyond competition, this tournament represents awareness, support, and togetherness, reminding athletes that sports can also be a platform for compassion, encouragement, and purpose beyond the game itself.
The calendar concludes with one of the academy’s signature events, the IBA Christmas Classic in December. More than a tournament, it is a celebration of basketball, family, community, and the culture that has been built throughout the year. The event brings together athletes, supporters, and teams in a festive yet highly competitive atmosphere that closes the season with excitement, pride, and unforgettable memories.
