For IBA Bahamas, the phrase “From Grassroots to Greatness” is more than a slogan; it is the foundation of the academy’s Grassroots Youth Basketball League.
It represents the belief that greatness does not begin with fame, rankings, or scholarships. Greatness begins in the grassroots moments, the early mornings, the first practice, the missed shots, the lessons learned, the discipline developed, and the decision to keep showing up even when the process gets difficult.
At IBA Bahamas, growth is intentional. The academy’s 12-week year-round league was created for young athletes who are ready to move beyond the basics and fully develop their understanding, discipline, and performance within the game of basketball.
More than just practices and games, the league is designed to challenge players mentally and physically while helping them discover where they thrive most on the court. Through structured development, athletes learn how to sharpen their strengths, improve weaknesses, understand team dynamics, and compete with confidence at a higher level.
Led by Coach Denykco Bowles and the IBA coaching staff, the program creates an environment where accountability, teamwork, leadership, and basketball IQ are developed alongside athletic skill. Players with aspirations of pursuing basketball competitively are especially encouraged to participate, as the league provides a strong foundation for long-term growth and exposure.
Open to both boys and girls ages 6 and older, the IBA Year-Round League offers one of the highest levels of basketball intensity available within the program. Athletes are consistently pushed to elevate their conditioning, decision-making, and execution through focused training and competitive play.
